For the second straight year, the Flagler Palm Coast girls soccer team had its heart broken by Spruce Creek.

Spruce Creek defeated FPC, 2-1, Friday night in the District 2-5A championship.

FPC (22-3-2) still gets a berth in the state playoffs. The Lady Bulldogs will play Tuesday, Jan. 24, against the winner of the game between Fletcher and Mandarin. Because FPC lost in the district championship, the Lady Bulldogs will have to play the next round on the road.
