Spaghetti and dodgeball: Support Matanzas baseball

PALM COAST — The Matanzas Homerun Club is sponsoring a dodgeball tournament Saturday, March 1. It’s a blind draw, double-elimination tournament, with games starting at 2 p.m., inside Matanzas High School’s gym.

Teams will consist of five players. Cost is $15 per player ($10 for current Matanzas baseball players). The field will be limited to the first 50 teams. Registration closes Feb. 22. General admission to watch the tournament is $1 for students and $2 for adults.

Later that day, the Matanzas Homerun Club will host a spaghetti dinner, which will begin at 4 p.m. and will go until they run out of spaghetti. Food will be served in Matanzas’ cafeteria.

Cost is $5 per plate, which includes spaghetti with sauce, salad, dinner roll and iced tea or water.
