A section of sidewalk was recently completed on State Road 100, adjacent to Flagler Palm Coast High School.

This section of sidewalk will provide a pathway for students who walk to and from school along State Road 100. Prior to the sidewalk’s completion, students were only able to walk along the shoulder of the roadway.

This new sidewalk connects the high school with an existing sidewalk near the Olive Garden and Red Lobster restaurants.

Traffic signals were constructed to allow pedestrians to safely cross Belle Terre Parkway and Bulldog Drive, and a bridge was built to enable the sidewalk to cross a large drainage swale.

This project was made possible through Florida Department of Transportation funding obtained by the Flagler County School Board.

The Flagler County Engineering Department provided project oversight, and the engineering firm of England-Thims & Miller provided design, permitting and construction administration services for the project.
