The only two losses this season for the Flagler Palm Coast Bulldogs boys basketball team came to state-ranked Father Lopez.

FPC (18-2) finished district play Friday night, beating Mandarin, 55-49, and securing an undefeated district record.

Junior guard Tyler Hopkins scored 17 points, and drained three 3-pointers. Freshman Malik Maitland scored 10 points and six steals. T.J. Alexander had four points and 14 rebounds.

FPC hosts New Smryna Beach 5:30 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 24.

Bulldogs beat Deltona, 6-0
Flagler Palm Coast boys soccer finished the regular season on a high note.

The Bulldogs (11-2) beat Deltona, 6-0, Friday night. Martin Maschio scored two goals, and Drew Jones, Jonathan Kusek, Nate Monsanto and Nicholas Varon each scored one goal.

FPC outshot Deltona, 14-1.

The Bulldogs host DeLAnd 7 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 25, in the first round of the District 2-5A tournament.

Pirates hoops fall to Ponte Vedra
Fresh off a huge win over Calvary Christian, the Matanzas High School boys basketball team lost to Ponte Vedra, 51-41, Friday night.

Matanzas (8-12) was led in scoring again by Shawn White (13 points) Ivan Tsabak (12 points), and Kurt Grimes (10 points).

Matanzas hosts Lake Mary Prep 7:30 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 21.
