With Palm Coast resident Joe Doyle as general manager, Shantytown Village is celebrating one year in business. An outdoor, multivendor shopping experience, Shantytown opened during the pandemic, offering a place for entrepreneurs to showcase their homemade crafts.

Doyle said that during the past year, he's learned to surround himself with positive people and to lead by example. His leadership style is to be "more of a mentor than a dictator."
