Second traffic death in four days, as 36-year-old Palm Coast man dies in crash

The crash occurred when a 16-year-old driver failed to yield.

Four days after a man was killed in a crash in the W-section, another Palm Coast driver was killed in a crash on city streets.

A 36-year-old man, whose identity was not released by the Florida Highway Patrol, was killed in a crash at 12:16 p.m. Monday, Aug. 2, on Royal Palms Parkway. He was the only person in his SUV at the time.

The crash occurred when a 16-year-old Palm Coast driver failed to yield when entering the intersection of Point Pleasant Drive and Royal Palms Parkway. The teen had no injuries.

The SUV overturned and came to rest in the middle of Royal Palms, and the man was pronounced dead at the scene.
