Schoology temporarily shuts down statewide, but Flagler has a good first day of virtual learning, Tager says

Schoology and Canvas apps temporarily shut down statewide on March 30, the first day Flagler Schools students began virtual learning full time, as the coronavirus continues to shut down schools, Superintendent James Tager reported.

The school district also announced that the state has closed schools through May 1, extending the period by two weeks.

Tager, in his daily message to Flagler Schools families, reported positive impressions he had seen posted on social media and via other messages, including one student who "felt great about it and understands exactly what to do and how to do it."

Tager also praised the teacher parades and virtual spirit weeks at the schools.

"I know it’s tough to maintain a connection to your school when we’re all scattered across our county, but I encourage all of our students and families to share these great images showing school spirit," he wrote.
