LOCAL MAN GRADUATES UNITED STATES MARINE CORPS BOOT CAMP

Private First Class Ryan W. Cain, 19, of Palm Coast, graduated from the United States Marine Corps boot camp at Marine Corps Recruit Depot Parris Island on August 28, 2020. Private First Class Cain started his journey at The Citadel under 2 weeks of quarantine. He then successfully completed 13 weeks of intensive basic training at MCRD Parris Island as one of 40 recruits in Training Platoon 2048. While in recruit training, Private First Class Cain received the coveted “Crossed Rifles” of the Rifle Expert badge. He reported immediately to Camp Geiger, North Carolina for one month of Marine Combat Training then Military Occupation Specialty School at Twentynine Palms, California.
