Flagler Schools Superintendent Cathy Mittelstadt announced Jan. 7 that Robert Bossardet, the district’s Executive Director of Leadership Development will also become the interim principal of Flagler-Palm Coast High School.
In making the decision Mittelstadt said: “The current administrative team has done a remarkable job in the wake of the loss of Principal Tom Russell. The process to find his successor has to be a deliberate one and this action allows us all time to find the right person to lead FPC into future years.”
Bossardet's planned message to the faculty was, “It is an honor to serve on this campus and to help continue Mr. Russell’s vision for FPC. I have no doubt we will get through these challenges together and fulfill Tom Russell’s goals.”
The process of advertising the principal’s position, holding listening sessions with teachers, staff, and families will begin in the spring. Bossardet will split his time between the two positions but will spend the majority of his time on the FPC campus.
