MHS Key Club Wet Color Run -- Supporting life one step at a time!

On Saturday, May 20 Matanzas High School’s Key Club will host the 3rd annual 3K Wet Color Run for Relay for Life, a non-profit organization dedicated to researching cures for cancer through charity; and Key Club activities. The race will be at Matanzas High School.

Key Club isn’t a club about keys; it’s a Kiwanis International, student-led High School organization committed to serving the community and impacting the lives of others through acts of kindness. Student members learn leadership skills through involvement in the club that impact them throughout their lives.

Runners will run through sprays of colorful paint, cooling off at the after splash party and sliding down a slip and slide at the finish line. There will be a dance at the DJ party and pizza and concessions sold.

Prizes will be awarded to the winners of the race.

Admissions is $20 per person and the first 200 runners receive a free t-shirt! Registration begins in the bus loop at 2 p.m. The race will begin at 3 p.m. For more information, contact Kathy Summerlot at [email protected].

What: Charity food drive to benefit homeless animals at Flagler Humane Society

When: 8 a.m. to 8:30 p.m. Saturday, May 13

Where: Gamble Rogers State Recreation Area at Flagler Beach, 3100 S. Oceanshore Blvd.

Details: In honor of National Pet Month, two and four legged visitors can get free entry into the park for the day with a donation of pet food. All proceeds will benefit the Flagler Humane Society Food Bank.
