Remember 9/11 at these Palm Coast, Flagler Beach ceremonies

There are several Sept. 11 events in Flagler County on Tuesday.

Tuesday, Sept. 11

9/11 memorial ceremony

When: 8-10 a.m.

Where: Flagler Beach Pier, 105 S. 2 St., Flagler Beach

Details: The Knights of Columbus Council 10514 welcome everyone to observe a remembrance ceremony at the pier. A procession from the pier to Santa Maria del Mar Church will take place after the ceremony where a special mass will be held. A reception will be held after the mass.

 

Palm Coast remembers 9/11

When: 8:30 a.m.

Where: Palm Coast City Hall, 160 Lake Ave.

Details: The city of Palm Coast will host a brief 9/11 ceremony at 8:30 a.m. There will be remarks from Mayor Milissa Holland and a national moment of silence at 8:46 a.m. The city is encouraging people to attend the remembrance event at the Elks Lodge later that morning.

 

9/11 remembrance

When: 9:45-11 a.m.

Where: Palm Coast Elks Lodge #2709, 53 Old Kings Road N.

Details: There will be a remembrance ceremony to honor those who lost their lives on Sept. 11, 2001. The city of Palm Coast will be involved with the ceremony. A display made by the Flagler County Teenage Republicans will be showcased; it is 8-by-4 feet and contains 2,977 flags, each for someone killed on 9/11.
