Rainstone Lane house burglarized during Hurricane Dorian

The thief or thieves stole jewelry and TVs.

Someone burglarized a Palm Coast woman's home while she was away because of Hurricane Dorian.

The victim, 48, had left for work on Tuesday, Sept. 3, and stayed overnight because of the storm, she told Flagler County Sheriff's Office deputies, according an an FCSO case report.

But when she arrived back at her Rainstone Lane home at about 4 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 4, she saw that her front door was open and the Vizio TV in her living room was gone. 

Also missing were two other TVs, a gold necklace, a bracelet, earrings and a 5-gallon jug of loose change.

Altogether, the stolen goods were worth approximately $1,775, according to the FCSO report.
