Just a few months after announcing plans to open telehealth sites in St. Johns County, Publix Pharmacy and Flagler Health+ are expanding telehealth services to Flagler County. The locations and opening dates are to be determined.

Both Publix and Flagler Health+ are working to make health care more convenient and affordable for the communities they serve. The telehealth sites leverage technology to provide on-demand care for common non-emergency medical conditions, such as fevers, flu, coughs and rashes, among others. The fee to use the telehealth site is $59 per visit, and appointments will not be needed.

The telehealth sites will have a private room with teleconferencing and medical diagnostic equipment, including stethoscopes, blood pressure cuffs, high-definition cameras and other tools necessary for common diagnoses. Patients speak directly with a board-certified physician via video conferencing technology. The physician can direct the patient to use the available diagnostic tools to make a diagnosis and write any necessary prescriptions. Publix Pharmacy support staff will be available to assist patients, if needed.
