Police seek information on Flagler Beach Publix robber

A man robbed the Publix on the north side of State Road 100 Oct. 5, implying he had a weapon.

A man robbed the Publix on the north side of State Road 100 in Flagler Beach at about 12:30 p.m. Oct. 5, implying that he was armed to a cashier at the customer service counter, then demanding money.

The cashier complied, and the robber left with a large sum of cash, running west through the Publix shopping center plaza, then north behind the building, according to a Flagler Beach Police Department news release.

Police don't know if the robber had a vehicle waiting for him. No one was harmed during the robbery.

The Flagler Beach Police Department has asked anyone with information about the case to call the Detective L. Williams at 386-517-2023, or contact the Flagler Beach Police Department headquarters at 386-517-2023.
