The Flagler County Sheriff’s Office is hoping the public can assist in identifying a would-be robber in a failed robbery attempt Wednesday at a Palm Coast gas station.

Deputies responded around 5:13 a.m. Thursday to to a Mobil Station at 220 Palm Coast Parkway after a clerk reported a man tried to rob her.

The victim said the white male entered the store with his shirt covering his lower face and his right hand under his shirt.

He then demanded money and implied he had a gun. At one point, the man threatened the woman, saying: “Don’t make me use it.”

When the clerk refused to hand over any money, the man left the store, walking behind the building toward the northeast side of the store.

The would-be robber is described as being about 6-feet tall, with a medium build and brown hair. He was wearing light-colored cargo shorts, a gray T-shirt, black glasses and black slider sandal. He may have a tattoo on his outer right calf and a scar on his forehead near his hairline.

Anyone with information is asked to contact the Flagler County Sheriff’s Office at 386-313-4911.
