The team trophy was placed at the first tee of the Volusia/Flagler Golf Tournament for all of the golfers to know what they were playing for on Monday, Sept. 28, at the Daytona Beach Golf Club.

As the Spruce Creek Hawks won first place, Matanzas and Flagler Palm Coast took eighth and ninth place, respectively.

Pirates' Dominic Colletta led all Flagler golfers with a 79, shooting a 37 on the back nine, and Anthony Hunter finished behind him with an 86. Christian Gazzoli led FPC with a 93, and Jaxon Cox and Jarrad Pemberton tied with 109.

"Overall, I'm happy with what I shot today, even though it could've been better. I'm very pleased with how I played on the back nine; I just got off to a shaky start and couldn't catch any breaks."
