Pink 5K set for Sunday at Florida Hospital Flagler

‘Norm of the North’ Movies in the Park

When: 7:15 p.m. Friday, Oct. 13

Where: Central Park at Town Center, 975 Central Ave.

Details: For the final Movie in the Park for the 2017 season, “Norm of the North” will be shown on the big screen by the lake in Central Park. The free event is put on by Palm Coast’s Parks & Recreation Department and Flagler Schools. Go to palmcoastgov.com/movies or call 986-2323.

Where: City Repertory Theatre, 160 Cypress Point Parkway

Details: This 2006 Obie-winning musical is a light-hearted look at the ambition, friendship and disasters two heroes need to create a musical in just three weeks, according to crtpalmcoast.com. Call 585-9415.

7th annual Pink 5K

When: 7:45 am 5K race starts, 8:30 a.m. non-timed 1-mile fun “Pink Out Your Pup” walk begins; Sunday, Oct. 15

Where: Florida Hospital Flagler, 60 Memorial Medical Parkway

Details: There will also be a Kids Fun Run. Awards will be given for top runners, as well as for teams showing the most enthusiasm and participation.

 

Palm Coast Charter Review process

When: 11 a.m. Tuesday, Oct. 17

Where: Pine Lakes Golf Club, 400 Pine Lakes Parkway

Details: City Council Member Heidi Shipley will speak on activities in city government, including the Palm Coast Charter Review process, at the Flagler County Branch of the American Association of University Women meeting. Lunch is $17 and reservations are required for lunch. Meeting is open to the public. Call Kathy Burns at 263-2883.

Where: Grand Haven Golf Club, 500 Riverfront Drive

Flagler Fun Coast Bed Race: “The Walking Bed”

When: 3 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 28

Where: Veteran's Park, Flagler Beach

Details: Flagler Volunteer Services, the Kiwanis Club of Flagler County and Wheels In Motion will be conducting the 8th Annual Flagler Fun Coast Bed Race in Flagler Beach. Bed Race Teams from local businesses and clubs will build, decorate and race beds. Assemble your group of five to enter. Entry fee is $100/$50 for youth groups.
