UPDATE:

Samantha Posella has been located alive and well in South Florida.

“Samantha went to a local police station to notify authorities that she was reported missing in October of 2017 but investigators have determined she was living in South Florida using an alias," the Flagler County Sheriff's Office wrote in a statement released through its official Twitter account.

ORIGINAL STORY:

The Flagler County Sheriff’s Office is searching for 18-year-old Samantha Lynn Posella, who's been missing since Oct. 24 and may have been the victim of a crime, according to a Sheriff's Office news release.

Posella is a resident of Palm Coast's Llama Trail, and the Sheriff's Office news release describes her as white with short brown hair, hazel eyes, 5 feet 6 inches tall and 136 pounds. The Sheriff's Office first notified the public about her disappearance in November, when she was 17.

Deputes believes that an L-Section woman is the last one to have seen her: The woman reported to deputies that she drove Posella to work on the day Posella disappeared, and that she last saw Posella walking home from the L-Section woman's Llach Court home in Palm Coast on the evening of Oct. 24, a according to the news release.

But the woman "has since provided several inconsistent statements to law enforcement," according to the news release, and the woman and her boyfriend have become 'persons of interest' in Posella's disappearance, according to the news release.

“We need to know the truth about Samantha’s whereabouts and we need the cooperation of those who last saw her or any friends that may know something,” Sheriff Rick Staly said in the news release. “Please come forward with information to help us find her.”

Posella is now an adult and no longer needs to return to her parents’ custody if she is alive and well.

Anyone who has information on Posella's whereabouts or her disappearance is asked to contact the FCSO at 386-313-4911 and mention Case Number 2017-93626; or, call CrimeStoppers at 1-888-277-TIPS (8477) to remain anonymous.
