A 16-year-old Palm Coast resident was arrested Monday by Flagler County Sheriff’s Office detectives on a felony charge of sexual battery involving a 5-year-old boy in an incident that occurred in May, according to a press release.

Detectives said the teenager forced the younger boy to participate in a sex act while the two were home alone in Palm Coast. The Florida Department of Children and Families was contacted, and the Sheriff’s Office assisted in the investigation.

Detectives said the teenage boy admitted to sexually battering the youngster when questioned about the incident.
