Palm Coast, Flagler County Public Schools and Palm Coast Gymnastics will host a new city sporting event, the Summer Salt Invite, Oct. 1, to benefit local businesses.

Palm Coast’s first competitive gymnastics meet will take place 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 1, at Flagler Palm Coast High School. More than 250 gymnasts from across Florida and Georgia will compete in uneven bars, floor exercises, balance beams and vault events.

“The city is proud to showcase all of the wonderful amenities Palm Coast has to offer,” said Mayor Jon Netts. “Sports events such as this are ideal venues to promote economic development in our city.”

The Summer Salt Invite is Palm Coast Gymnastics’ first venture into hosting a hometown meet. Flagler Palm Coast High School is located at 5500 State Road 100. Admission is $10.
