Palm Coast Parkway shifts into last phase of construction

It will end in late December.

The following is an adapted news release form the city of Palm Coast:

The Palm Coast Parkway widening project is 90% complete, and construction is shifting into its third phase, which will include median work, landscaping, final striping and paving.

Traffic will continue on two lanes running both eastbound and westbound for as long as possible. Construction will continue until the end of December, when all six lanes will open.

The $10.5-million project entails widening of about 1.23 miles of Palm Coast Parkway from Cypress Point Parkway/Boulder Rock Drive to Florida Park Drive. As part of the project:

  • Three lanes of traffic will be constructed both eastbound and westbound, along the 1.23 miles of roadway between Cypress Point Pkwy/Boulder Rock Drive and Florida Park Drive.
  • Bicycle and pedestrian paths, curbs, gutters and sidewalks will be added along the entire project.
  • Irrigation, stormwater retention, signals and signage will be upgraded.
  • Landscaping will add 458 new trees and shrubs. Many existing trees have already been moved to other Palm Coast locations.

Updated lane closure information will be posted to the Palm Coast Parkway Widening Project website at For more information, call the project hotline at 1-800-515-9194.
