In preparation for Tropical Storm Ian, the city of Palm Coast has opened three sandbag locations as of Monday, Sept. 26.
Palm Coast sand stations are staffed with manpower assistance for those who need it. There is a limit of 10 bags per vehicle.
Three sand stations and sandbags will be open 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Monday, Sept. 26, and Tuesday, Sept. 27:
Additional sandbag locations may become available if needed.
In addition to the city’s sandbag location, Flagler County officials began sandbag operations Sunday at noon – one on the barrier island and the other in western Flagler County. Residents are limited to 10 sandbags per household.

Officials recommend having seven days’ worth of supplies such as food, water, and medication. Test flashlights and radios and be sure to replace outdated batteries. Anyone with special medical needs – such as those who are medically electrically dependent, or who require daily home medical care – should register for the Special Needs Evacuation Assistance Program, which can be accessed at www.flaglercounty.gov/special_needs.
