A Palm Coast man died early Sunday morning after crashing his Nissan Altima into several trees that line the northbound Interstate 95 exit ramp at Palm Coast Parkway.
Kenneth Eugene Yarborough, 53 was driving the car at about 2:30 a.m. when it veered left off the roadway on the exit ramp, struck several trees and entered a retention pond, coming to rest facing northwest, according to a Florida Highway Patrol report.
The driver side of the car was heavily damaged, and Flagler Fire Rescue personnel pronounced Yarborough dead at the scene of the accident, according to the report.
The car’s sole passenger, 31-year-old Palm Coast resident Omayra Rodriguez Jarrett, was rushed to Halifax Hospital with serious injuries, according to the report.
