Palm Coast man dead after crashing into utility pole

Pedro Emilio Marin, 79, was the fourth death reported by authorities in a two-day span.

A day after Flagler County first responders dealt with multiple crashes and three deaths, another person died after a crash on US 1, according to a news release by Florida Highway Patrol.

Pedro Emilio Marin, 79, of Palm Coast, was driving southbound on U.S. on the morning of Tuesday, Oct. 9. at about 9:32 a.m., Marin's 2003 Ford Crown Victoria ran off the right side of the roadway, and the left side of the vehicle crashed into a utility pole. 

Marin died as a result of the crash, according to the report. He was the fourth death reported by authorities in a two-day span. On Monday, Oct. 8, a semitruck driver died after a crash on I-95 and two construction workers were killed after being electrocuted while pouring concrete at a site at Sebastian Court.
