The following is an adapted news release from the Flagler County Sheriff's Office:

Depuites have arrested 56-year-old Palm Coast resident Andrew S. Wilson on a charge of sexual battery on a person less than 12 years of age.

In January 2015, the Flagler Sheriff’s Office took a report of a sexual offense that occurred in Flagler County sometime between 1992 and 1995.

During the investigation, the victim told detectives that Wilson sexually assaulted her on multiple dates when she was between the ages of 9 and 12.

The victim said Wilson would give her alcoholic beverages and force her to perform sex acts on him. A few times, she told investigators, she pretended to fall asleep after drinking the alcohol, but he still performed various sexual acts on her.

Detectives got a warrant July 15 charging Wilson, of 82 Brushwood Lane, with one count of sexual battery on a person less than 12 years of age, and arrested him shortly before 6 p.m. at the Flagler County Sheriff’s Office Investigative Services Division.

He was booked at the Flagler County Jail and is being held under a $500,000 bond.

Detectives are asking anyone who might have information about this investigation, or who may have been victimized by Wilson, to call the Sheriff’s Office Investigative Services Division at 586-4801.
