Raphaela Brewer last saw her husband, Robert, 44, alive when he kissed her goodnight at 9 p.m. last Thursday. When she awoke in the middle of the night and realized he had still not come to bed, she searched the house to find him face down in their hot tub.

When police arrived at the Brewers’ F-section home at about 4:30 a.m. Thursday, they found Raphaela Brewer inside of the hot tub, attempting to hold her husband’s head above water, according to reports. Two deputies administered CPR, but Brewer was already deceased.

Raphaela Brewer told deputies that she and her husband went out to eat at the European Village earlier that night, and that he had drank about 75% of a bottle of wine.

“I did not see anything suspicious in the immediate area of the pool,” Deputy J. Williams wrote in his report. “I also did not observe any alcohol anywhere in the area near Robert’s body.”

No reports of foul play have been filed.
