Palm Coast man, 39, dies in motorcycle crash on U.S. 1

A 39-year-old Palm Coast man died in a motorcycle crash on U.S. 1 at its intersection with State Road 206 in St. Johns County on March 7, according to a news release from the Florida Highway Patrol.

The man was riding south on U.S. 1 in the outside lane at about 7:16 a.m. when an SUV heading north and driven by a 26-year-old St. Augustine woman made a left turn from U.S. 1 onto S.R. 206, striking the motorcycle.

The motorcyclist was taken to a local hospital, where he died, according to the news release.
