Palm Coast man, 18, charged with raping 13-year-old girl

Suspect Fredie Jiles Leon lured the girl by offering her marijuana, according to an arrest report.

Flagler County Sheriff's Office deputies arrested an 18-year-old Palm Coast man May 11 and charged him with raping a 13-year-old girl and luring and drugging her with marijuana.

The suspect, Whittier Lane resident Fredie Leon, offered and gave the girl marijuana "in order to facilitate the acts," which occured sometime between April and May 6, according to an arrest report.

Leon raped the girl at least twice, according to the report.

The victim told law enforcement officers and a child protection team about the crimes, which were also "documented in text messages and Facebook messages" between Leon and the victim, according to the report.

In an interview with a Flagler County Sheriff 's Office detective, Leon confessed to raping the girl and to luring the girl with marijuana and providing her with marijuana, according to the report. The detective audio recorded the confession.

Leon is charged with two counts of sexual battery on a child over the age of 12 and under the age of 18 and one count of contributing to the delinquency of a minor. 

He was released from the county jail on a combined $101,000 bond on May 12.
