The Palm Coast City Council has agreed to back down from eminent domain on Gus Ajram’s property, along Bulldog Drive.

The consensus was unanimous at Tuesday’s meeting, though no formal vote was taken.

Last September, the City Council deemed acquiring the property as a public necessity and indicated it would employ eminent domain.

But because traffic is light along Bulldog Drive, Landon said engineers agreed the road is suitable at two lanes rather than widening to four lanes.

However, improvements and changes will be made to the road infrastructure around Flagler Palm Coast High School.

Read about those changes and more coverage of this issue in Thursday’s edition of the Palm Coast Observer.
