County attorney report/comments:

  • Status and update on Army Corps Dune Restoration Project
  • Review of final offer in mediation by Captain’s BBQ: Flagler County has been in mediation with Captain's BBQ since February 2020 over the details of the restaurant's use of county-owned land at Bings Landing Park. County Attorney Al Hadeed presented a summary of the mediation during a May 18 commission meeting, and the parties have since met again, and Captain's BBQ has presented the county with its final offer. "Because of the manner in which it addresses critical issues to the County, the final offer constitutes impasse in the mediation in the County Administrator’s judgment," the staff document says.
