Ollie's Bargain Outlet hosting mass hiring event

The event is from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Sept. 12 and Sept. 14 at the Hilton Garden Inn.

Ollie's Bargain Outlet is having a mass hiring event from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Sept. 12 and Sept. 14 at the Hilton Garden Inn, located at 5 Town Center Blvd. in Palm Coast. The store, which is located at 1212 Palm Coast Parkway, is expected to open in early October.

Store Manager Scott Griffin said he's looking to hire 50 to 70 people to help put together the store once construction is completed. Once the store is operational, he plans to keep up to 40 people on staff.

Griffin will also be conducting on-site interviews at the store's location on Wednesday, Sept. 12, and another hiring event will be held on Sept. 20.

"We're looking to get as many people through the door as possible," he said.

Update: An earlier version of this report indicated that the event was going to be held Sept. 10-11. Store Manager Scott Griffin told the Observer that he had to reschedule the event dates.
