Two personal fitness trainers are launching a senior fitness program at First Baptist Church in Bunnell.

Trainers Artie "Artie G" Gardella and  Jocelyn Daley have 35 years of fitness teaching experience between them, and were fitness instructors at Fitness One on Old Kings Road, according to a press release. They have launched the new classes for seniors who were displaced after Fitness One closed this past May of this year.

“The quality senior classes we teach help develop muscle tone, bone density, strength, endurance, flexibility, balance and coordination,” said Artie. “The classes are gentle, upbeat and supportive exercise routines."

Classes are at 9:15 a.m. Tuesdays and Thursdays, starting on Aug. 9, in the gymnasium of the church at 2301 Commerce Parkway. Tuesday classes, taught by Gardella, will be for seniors of all fitness levels. Thursday classes, taught by Daley, will be for more active seniors.

No pre-registration is necessary. Classes are covered by most fitness health insurance plans, or can be covered on a donation basis.
