Congratulations are in order for the 2016 National Honor Society inductees from Matanzas High School. The students inducted were: Madelyn Ball, Teptida Battenhouse, Edward Bazzell, Loren Bentley, Caitlin Bower, Jordan Bride, Andrew Bride, Cristina Cabada, Kali Conville, Julianna Crews, Luke Derrico, Ryan Dudley, Marisa Flores, Samantha Fonte, Alexia Garcia, Zhariah Haire, Will Hall, Alexandra Harris, Isabella Herrera, Ladyann Holderzwink, Alyssa Hubbard, Kalie Januszkiewicz, Jessica Lao, Ashlyne Merrick, Caitlynn Morse, Margaret O’Mahoney, Adriana Perez, Eliza Philbin, Erin Robinson, Morgan Sharman, Guillermo Soto, Cassandra Veilleux, Tyler Wise, Hannah Wisniewski and Anthony Zheng.

During the ceremony the 2016 MHS NHS officers, President Sokret Pond, Secretary Edgardo Gonzalez, Historian, and Susanna van de Graaf were thanked for their service to the group.

The Induction Ceremony concluded with the Society recognizing each of the 2016 Seniors with their graduation stole, medallion and NHS tassel. In order to receive their stole each senior needed to be in good standing, with their dues paid and all monthly volunteer hours submitted.

Allegra DePietro named Fellow in American Pharmacists Association

Allegra DePietro, the daughter of Fred and Barbara DePietro of Palm Coast, was recognized as a Fellow in the American Pharmacists Association, on Saturday, March 5.

To become a Fellow, members must have demonstrated exemplary professional achievements and service to the profession through activities with APhA and other national, state or local professional organizations.

Allegra DePietro is the manager of Nuclear Pharmacy Services at Massachusetts General Hospital, Division of Nuclear Medicine and Molecular Imaging.
