Autopsies are scheduled to be performed Tuesday on the two people found dead Sunday, at 21 Barkwood Lane, in an apparent murder-suicide.
Flagler County Sheriff’s Office detectives identified the couple as David and Terry Sharp of 21 Barkwood Lane. The Medical Examiner will be conducting the autopsy.
The couple was found dead in their home around 4:41 p.m. by neighbors who called deputies to the scene. Both suffered gunshot wounds and a .12 gauge shotgun was recovered at the scene. The detectives have reported that it appears David Sharp shot his wife and then turned the shotgun on himself. No notes were found.
The Florida Department of Law Enforcement was called in to process the scene and the Medical Examiner’s Office was notified. Two dogs owned by the couple were turned over to Flagler County Animal Control at the scene.
