Palm Coast residents Anna and Bernard Raffestin have been found safe in Tallahassee after being reported missing and endangered, according to a Flagler County Sheriff's Office news release.
The married couple was located Feb. 20 after a statewide Silver Alert was issued. They were considered endangered because they had not been seen since Feb. 18, had left all of their prescription medication at home and because Bernard Raffestin, 81, had been been diagnosed with dementia.
The Tallahassee Police Department notified family members Feb. 20 that the couple was safe, and a nephew who lives in Tallahassee was going to pick them up.
"I'm extremely glad this couple has been found safely," Sheriff Rick Staly said in the news release. "This is a prime example of our community and state working together to protect our elderly residents. Thank you to all who were on the lookout for them."

The Flagler County Sheriff's Office is seeking the public's help to find a missing Palm Coast couple who are considered to be in danger.
Fulton Place residents Bernard C. Raffestin, 81, and his wife Anna Raffestin, 90, were last seen at about 11 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 18, according to a Sheriff's Office news release.
Both are now the subject of a statewide Silver Alert issued by the Florida Department of Law Enforcement, and are driving a gray 2009 Chevrolet Equinox with Florida tag 173NNM.
Bernard Raffestin has been diagnosed with dementia, and both Bernard and Anna Raffestin are considered to be in danger because they left without their prescription medications, according to the news release.
Bernard Raffestin is described as 5 foot, 5 inches tall, with gray hair and blue eyes. Anna Raffestin is described as 5 foot, 2 inches tall, with gray hair and blue eyes, and is reportedly easily confused in new surroundings.
"In cases like this, we really need all the help we can get from the public to honor our elders," Sheriff Rick Staly said. "We are hoping that by issuing this statewide alert and having many additional sets of eyes out there that we can bring this couple safely home."
Anyone who sees the Raffestins or has any information about their whereabouts is asked to call local law enforcement or 911, as well as the Flagler County Sheriff’s Office at 386-313-4911.
