A 16-year-old Matanzas High School student was raped at her home by another teenager, the 16-year-old girl reported to the Flagler County Sheriff's Office on April 16.

Matanzas' school resource deputy was notified by a staff member who'd been notified by the girl's mother.

The girl said the rape happened on April 4. She said that she had gotten a Snap Chat message from the teen boy, whose name is redacted in the deputy's report, "asking to catch up."

The teen boy, she said, then came over to her house, hugged her and asked to go inside her room. When she said no, she reported, the boy took her by the arm and pulled into the room by bear hugging her. He then raped her, she said. She repeatedly told him to stop, she told the deputy.

When he did stop, she slapped him and he walked out of the room, she told the deputy.

The Sheriff's Office sent a deputy to the girl's home to collect physical evidence.

The investigation is ongoing and so far without an arrest. The deputy's case report lists the incident as lewd and lascivious battery on a child 12-16 years of age.
