The Matanzas Lady Pirates were defeated by the Sandcrabs 11-1 Tuesday, Feb. 24, at Matanzas.
Cami Leake was one of the bright spots for the Pirates, going 2-for-2 at the plate, and Heather Nelson went 1-for-2 with a walk. Matanzas’ lone run came off an error in the third inning.
The Lady Pirates will look to rebound against New Smyrna Beach Thursday, Feb. 26, at New Smyrna.
