Matanzas High School went up one grade — from "B" to "A" — while Flagler Palm Coast High School maintained its "B" in the latest round of school grades released by the Florida Department of Education.

Wadsworth Elementary, Old Kings Elementary, Belle Terre Elementary and Indian Trails Middle School also kept "A" grades from 2014; Imagine School at Town Center maintained its "B" from 2014; Buddy Taylor Middle School rose from a "C" to a "B"; and Bunnell Elementary School, Rymfire Elementary School and Palm Harbor Academy dropped from "A" grades to "B" grades, according to data released by the state. Phoenix Academy, an alternative elementary program that had been housed at the FPC campus but which is no longer active, maintained a "C" grade.

"With the implementation of the Florida Standards and the instructional shifts that are required by the FSA, for our students to have performed as well as they did is a true testament to the commitment of everybody in the organization," Flagler Schools Superintendent Jacob Oliva said in a Flagler Schools news release. "We are pleased with the school grades; however, this 2014-15 summative data confirmed areas we had already identified as opportunities for growth."

Schools must receive 62% of possible points to get an "A" grade, or 54% to earn a "B" grade, according to the release.
