Matanzas High School and Flagler Palm Coast High School will both hold graduation ceremonies at the Ocean Center in Daytona Beach this year, Flagler Schools Superintendent Cathy Mittelstadt said during a School Board workshop March 23.

The ceremonies will be held June 2.

"There will be limited seating, but we are getting more return on that," Mittelstadt said. "There is going to be more opportunity for our families to attend with the grads, and yes, it all be live streamed ... so we’re in a really good place there with gradation."

Graduations last year, in a creative solution to the need to maintain social distancing, were held as drive-in events at the Daytona Beach International Speedway, with students driving the track to get their diplomas.

Proms this year will be held as sit-down dinner events, Mittelstadt said.
