A Palm Coast resident pleaded no contest Jan. 21 to charges of aggravated battery in connection with an attack on a woman last March.

Chomm Chann, 41, was arrested March 29 after deputies said he held a woman against her will, forced her to strip, tied her hands behind her with a pair of pantyhose, made her perform a sex act on him, struck her and threatened her with a knife.

Chann was originally also charged with domestic battery, sexual battery, kidnapping and aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.

His charges were reduced as part of the plea agreement, said 7th Judicial Circuit representative Ludmilla Lelis.

Chann is being held at the Flagler County jail, and will be sentenced Feb. 25 at the Kim C. Hammond Justice Center.

He faces up to eight years in prison.
