Flagler County Sheriff's Office deputies arrested a 30-year-old Oviedo man on weapons charges after he was found at the scene of an argument in the Palm Coast Winn-Dixie parking lot with brass knuckles and a pistol. The suspect, Michael Grube, did not have a concealed carry permit.

Deputies received a call about the argument at about 12:03 a.m. May 8 and arrived to find Grube standing next to a black motorcycle that matched a description of a bike that belonged to a person involved in the dispute.

There was "what appeared to be a black axe handle" resting across the motorcycle's seat, according to a deputy's account in a case report, and the deputy asked Grube if he had other weapons. Grube replied that he had a Glock pistol on his bike.

The deputy asked Grube to slowly walk away from the bike and toward the deputy's patrol car, but Grube was "verbally uncooperative," according to the deputy's report.

Another deputy secured Grube. There was a pair of brass knuckles in his pocket. The 45-caliber Glock on the seat of the motorcycle had a round in its chamber. It wasn't holstered, and the deputy wrote in the report that it "appeared as if (Grube) intended on having the firearm in this location for immediate use."

When deputies asked Grube if he had a concealed carry permit, he said he did not.

He was arrested on charges of carrying a concealed weapon without a permit and unlicensed carrying of a firearm.
