The incident was "a drug deal gone wrong," Sheriff Rick Staly said.
Deputies have arrested a 21-year-old man in connection with a shooting that injured an 18-year-old Palm Coast resident in front of 36 Bressler Lane the morning of Dec. 21. The Sheriff's Office believes the shooting was drug-related.
“Our team did a great job in locating the suspect quickly and taking him into custody. A drug deal gone wrong leads to a young man getting shot. Drugs, guns and violence are a recipe for disaster and a hazard of being a drug dealer.”

The suspect has been identified as Maurice Tyron Moultrie, 21, of Felter Lane in Palm Coast, according to a Flagler County Sheriff's Office news release.
Moultrie shot the victim in front of the victim's friend's house while the victim was outside, according to the Sheriff's Office.
The victim suffered a gunshot wound to the abdomen, but was able to identify the shooter and describe the shooter's car before being transported to the hospital.
Deputy Brad Stogdon found Moultrie's car at the Mobil gas station at 220 Palm Coast Parkway NE, and detained Moultrie and the vehicle's other occupants for questioning.
Moultrie told deputies that he'd gone to the house on Bressler to buy marijuana. He said that the victim had pulled a gun on him.
The investigation is ongoing, but Moultrie is charged with aggravated battery with a deadly weapon and will be booked at the county jail and held with no bond, according to the news release.
