Palm Coast resident Oleg Walker, 28, was extradited to Flagler County from St. Johns County April 28 on charges that he solicited a 14-year-old girl for sex.

The Flagler County Sheriff's Office began investigating after one of Walker's friends contacted law enforcement in October 2020 and reported that Walker was engaging in sexually explicit text conversations with an underage teen, according to an FCSO arrest report.

The friend said that he'd been out at dinner at Outback Steakhouse with Walker and noticed that Walker was using his phone.

The friend asked him what he was doing, and Walker replied, "You don't want to know." The friend pressed him, and Walker replied that he was taking to "some girl" he'd met on a gaming app.

When the friend asked how old she was, Walker wouldn't answer. But when the friend guessed 15, Walker replied, "She will be in a couple of months."

The friend told a detective that another friend of Walker's also knew that Walker was engaging in sexually explicit conversations with underage girls and had confronted Walker about it.

The detective spoke to the second friend, who said he'd warned Walker about talking to underage girls and that Walker had said he'd stop. But the friend later saw Walker texting with the same girl again.

That friend told deputies he believed the girl lived in Iowa.

The detective interviewed Walker on Nov. 7, 2020. He said he'd been living out of his car when he met the girl on the online gaming app "King of Avalon," and began texting with her. He said he knew she was 14.

Deputies got a search warrant for Walker's phone, and a forensic download, 427 pages long, revealed multiple sexual text messages between Walker and the girl.

A detective contacted the girl, who confirmed that she was 14 and knew that Walker was 27 when they began communicating. She said Walker had said he'd travel to Iowa, where she lived, to see her.

Walker was arrested in St. Johns County on April 27 and extradited to Flagler County the next day on one charge of using a computer to solicit a child for sexual conduct and one charge of unlawful use of a two-way communication device.
