Law enforcement is making visits to the homes of registered sex offenders on Halloween Day — Wednesday, Oct. 31 — to ensure they are following all the rules related to the holiday, according to a news release by the Flagler County Sheriff's Office.
There are 25 registered sex offenders living in Flagler County who have specific sanctions: They cannot hand out candy, decorate for the holiday or leave their porch light on during Halloween. These limitations are designed to protect children from potential threats from sex offenders or predators.
Deputies, probation officers and parol officers will visit the homes of all 25 offenders to conduct a walkthrough of their residences.
These offenders must be in their home by 4:30 p.m. and remain inside for the rest of the night.
“Halloween is a fun holiday for children and families and we want to make it as safe as possible," Sheriff Rick Staly said in a release.
Below is a list of the twenty-five offenders that will be visited on Halloween day. Included are their photographs, names and addresses. You may also visit the Florida and National Sex Offender Database at to check for sex offenders that may be living near you or in neighborhoods that you plan to visit on Halloween.
