Law enforcement is searching for the occupants of a vehicle who fled the scene of a crash on I-95 on Monday, Oct. 8, according to a news release by Florida Highway Patrol.

A 2005 Dodge Durango was driving southbound on I-95 south of Palm Coast Parkway early Monday morning. Due to unknown reasons, the driver lost control and struck the inside guardrail. The vehicle traveled back into the roadway and came to a final rest in the inside lane.

Eduardo Torna, 58, of Jacksonville, was driving southbound when his 2001 Chevrolet Silverado struck the rear of the Dodge Durango. Torna’s vehicle rotated and came to a final rest in the median against the guardrail. Torna was taken to Halifax Health with serious injures.

Michelle Henry, 30, of Orlando, saw the Durango in the road and steered to avoid hitting it. The left side of her 2013 Buick struck the driver’s side of the Durango and came to rest on the outside shoulder of the roadway. She suffered minor injuries and was taken to Florida Hospital Flagler.

Bethany Collins, 32, and her passenger Marvella Taylor, 69 — both of Afton, Tennessee — were struck on the passenger’s side by what appeared to be a tire from the Durango. Collins’ 2010 Honda spun counter clockwise and came to a rest in the median.

All occupants of the Durango fled the scene prior to the arrival of law enforcement.

Call Crime Stoppers at 1-866-845-TIPS (8477) or the St. Augustine Florida Highway Patrol Station at 904-417-4272 if you have information.
