According to Kristine Aguirre, of Whispering Meadows Ranch, the 55 or so members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints who helped June 18 did a year’s worth of work at the ranch.

The effort, led by Jill Barton and her husband, Jeremy, was part of the church’s 2011 Day of Service. Church members painted a fence, installed chicken wire and cleared trees and brush.

“It was probably the most organized group we’ve ever had out there,” Aguirre said. “Even the kids sorted through my arts and crafts buckets … I didn’t hear one complaint out of that church group.”
