Flagler Palm Coast scored seven runs in the first inning and eight runs in the second inning Tuesday night en route to a 15-0 mercy-rule victory over Mainland.

FPC (17-3) was led by sophomore sensation Morgan Lambert (17-3), who struck out eight of the nine batters she faced in three perfect innings of work.

Lambert helped her own cause by going 1-for-2 with an RBI and a triple. Sam Mittel went 1-for-3 with two RBIs.

As a team through 20 games this season, the Lady Bulldogs are batting .354 with a .429 on-base percentage and a .950 fielding percentage.

Senior catcher Lee Ann Spivey leads the way, batting .460 in 68 plate appearances. Spivey has five homers, two triples and has driven in 18 runs. Ashton Stevens leads the team in RBIs (21) and doubles (seven).

Lambert, who has been the team’s only pitcher, has a 0.95 ERA. Batters are hitting .150 against her. In 112 innings pitched, she has 168 strikeouts and 26 walks.

FPC plays at home 6 p.m. Monday, April 2, against University. After that, the Lady Bulldogs have four regular-season games remaining before the district tournament. They will be the top seed in the District 1-8A tourney, which will be played at FPC.
