St. Augustine has edged Flagler Palm Coast in boys lacrosse in four straight games. But the Yellow Jackets have won by a total of only five goals in those four games.

“We had a lot of shots on goal but couldn’t find the back of the net,” FPC coach Lance Conant said.

FPC and St. Augustine were tied, 3-3, after the first quarter. FPC trailed 6-5 at halftime, and the Yellow Jackets were able to score two goals in the third quarter. FPC couldn’t rally in the fourth, despite outscoring St. Augustine 3-2.

Alec Noble scored two goals and added two assists for the Bulldogs. Mike Forte netted three goals and one assists, and Paul Pechmann scored two goals to go with his one assist.

FPC goaltender Kurt Brock had six saves and gave up three goals. Karter Kusek had 15 saves and allowed eight goals.

FPC (0-2) will travel to Matanzas on Wednesday.
