Knuckleheads win Ball Hockey League

The Knuckleheads went 10-0-2 this season and defeated the Blazers, 6-3, in the championship game. 

The Knuckleheads claimed top honors in the spring season of the Flagler Ball Hockey League, defeating the Blazers, 6-3, in the championship game.

The Knuckleheads went 10-0-2 during the regular season and beat the Bruins in the semifinals, 6-1. In the other seminfinal, the Blazers beat the Hitmen, 4-3. Eric Leduc scored four goals for the Knuckleheads in the championship game, and John Roach had one goal and three assists. Larry Tannenbaum had two assists.

Leduc was the regular-season scoring champ.

The two Flagler County hockey leagues — the ball hockey league and the deck hockey league — began about 15 years ago in the gym of Buddy Taylor Middle School by Larry Tannenbaum and Mike Bowker.

Both leagues consist of about five teams.
