John L. Fischer
1944-2021

A Memorial Mass celebrating the life of John L. Fischer, age 76, of Palm Coast Florida will be held on Saturday July 31st, 2021 at 11:00 A.M. in Santa Maria Del Mar’s Catholic Church, 915 N. Central Avenue, Flagler Beach, Florida.

John a resident of Palm Coast since 1999, passed away on May 14th, 2021.  John was born in Cleveland, Ohio on December 22, 1944 a son of the late Carlton John and Beatrice Marie (Lavelle) Fischer.  John was a certified Financial Adviser and Insurance Agent for many years with the Knights of Columbus Insurance.

John was a dynamo of positivity, attending many events in his infamous sports coat and tie. John served on the Flagler School Board from 2010 to 2014.  John was an advocate for the children, teachers, staff, administrators and very often a friend to strangers in need.  John was a devout man of faith; attending mass at Santa Maria del Mar’s Catholic Church and was a life member of the Knights of Columbus. John showed his appreciation for all and lived by his creed that he wished more people would take a moment and see all the wonderful things that God gives us. Put God first in your life and everything else will take its rightful place.  Matthew 6:24-34

John in his early years took to playing baseball and tried out for the Cleveland Indians. John graduated from John Marshall High School.  John headed east where he worked as an electrician on the Twin Towers in New York City.  John attended Kean University in Union, New Jersey where he received a bachelor’s degree in management and marketing.

John is lovingly survived by his siblings, Margaret Meacham (Harry), Dennis Fischer (Eileen), James Fischer (Kathleen) and Thomas Fischer.  John is also survived by many adoring nieces, nephews and an overwhelming amount of friends.

John will be greatly missed and we are all saddened for our loss. John would want nothing more than to go forward to make Flagler County a safe and wonderful place for children of all ages.
